Phase C

Procedure

Prepare phase A and heat to 70-75°C. Prepare phase B and heat to 75-80°C. Add phase B to phase A at 70-75°C and homogenize using a suitable dispersion unit (e.g., Silverson, Ultra-Turrax). Cool batch to room temperature under gentle stirring. Add phase C and mix. Add phase D incrementally with mixing to adjust pH to 4.0–4.5.

Properties

(25°C): Appearance—Shiny white cream; Viscosity—11,000–14,000 mPa∙s (10 rpm, Brk, RVDV-E, T-92, after 24 hours at room temperature; pH—4.0– 4.5.
